About me
Dr. Wen Shen grew up in New York City, obtained his undergraduate degree at Harvard College and medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He enjoyed a 1 year stint in sunny Southern California for an orthopedic foot and ankle fellowship at Harbor UCLA before returning to New York. He joined Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County in 2001 where he continues in private practice specializing in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. Over the past 25 years, in addition to his clinical practice serving the Hudson Valley, Dr. Shen had served as a chair of orthopedic surgery at the former St. Francis Hospital as well as various committees for quality assurance. He has also been on staff at Vassar Brothers Hospital since 2001. Since 2021, he has also been serving as the current the chair of orthopedic surgery at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Shen vows to exercise more and enjoys time traveling with his wife and 3 children. He has visited 6 continents and enjoys the cultural riches of each one.
