About me
Ram Seshadri, MD is a hepatobiliary and pancreas surgeon in the Division of Surgical Oncology at Northwell Health (CT). He also serves as the program director of the General Surgery Residency at Danbury Hospital / CT branch campus of the Larner College of Medicine at University of Vermont. He is the Director of the ACS – AEI accredited simulation center at Danbury Hospital.
Dr. Seshadri completed a clinical fellowship in hepatobiliary surgery at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC, and a clinical fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He completed residency training at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA, both teaching affiliates of Tufts University School of Medicine. Born and raised in southern India, he earned his medical and undergraduate degrees from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Madras, India.
Dr. Seshadri currently serves as the Junior Surgeons Committee Chair at the Americas Hepatopancreatobiliary Association (AHPBA); Consultant for the American Board of Surgery (ABS) Certifying Exam and as a member of the Inaugural Task Force for AI and Innovation in Surgical Education in the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. His research interests include outcome-based research and surgical education, and simulation.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Seshadri enjoys playing tennis, hiking trails and national parks, exploring the world culinary cuisine and spending time with his wife — an endocrinologist — and their two children.
