About me
Before arriving in healthcare, Michelle Watson worked in the world of consumer research, managing clients on projects that enabled them to understand the opinions and behaviors of consumers in the market strategy and understanding space. In that capacity, she formed an expertise across several categories, specializing in uncovering white space opportunities that fuel innovation and growth. Her approach included data to create an understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics
While working for several top market research companies, Michelle found she had a strong interest in hiring and developing talent. While at The Nielsen Company, she developed a college recruitment program, creating an interviewing platform, ensuring standardized hiring practices focused on talent and not demographics. In subsequent positions, she maintained involvement in talent management and strategy, creating mentorship and post grad rotational intern programs.
As Vice President of Talent Sourcing and Early Career Development at Ipsos she created a business group tasked with designing, executing and running a new talent program, the Ipsos Analyst Development Program, encompassing academic affiliation, recruitment & hiring, training, and rotational experience for early careers. It was a highlight of her career as it enhanced the talent growth of the company and touched over a thousand employees new to corporate life through management training and mentorship. Through this work, she was made a member of the Michigan State University advisory board for the Master’s in Market Research and Analytics program in the Broad School of Business.
With a desire to move out of the for-profit corporate space, Michelle joined Nuvance Health in 2023 as the Internal Mobility Manager. In this role she creates strategic initiatives to nurture and develop our internal talent. She is responsible for structuring and creating work processes that provide our team members with opportunities for internal movement. Her focus is on creating career paths, avenues for career discovery and collaborating with internal and external partners to develop opportunities for employee career growth and development.
Michelle attended Southern Connecticut State University. She is an avid baker, gardener and knitter and currently lives in Norwalk, Connecticut with her husband Gregg.
