About me
Marta Korytkowska, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is the Director of Educational Technology and Strategy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a practicing speech-language pathologist at Norwalk Hospital. An educator, clinician, researcher, and lifelong learner, she is passionate about advancing healthcare education through innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emerging technologies. In recognition of her contributions to medical education, she was recently honored with the Excellence in the Service of Education Award from the Institute for Medical Education (IME) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Originally from Ełk, Poland, Marta earned her bachelor's and clinical master's degrees from La Salle University in Philadelphia before completing both a theoretical master's degree and Ph.D. in Neurolinguistics through the Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences program at The Graduate Center, CUNY. Throughout her academic journey, she embraced every opportunity to contribute to campus life, serving as a resident assistant, supplemental instructor, and active committee member. Her dedication to teaching and mentorship was recognized with the Martin Gitterman Excellence in Teaching Award during her time at CUNY.
Before joining Mount Sinai, Marta served as a full-time faculty member in the graduate Speech-Language Pathology program at Sacred Heart University, where she taught undergraduate and graduate students, mentored future clinicians, and further developed her passion for teaching and educational innovation.
