I moved to the United States nearly thirty years ago and settled in Connecticut, overcoming cultural and educational barriers as a young immigrant. With over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I became a board-certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) in 2011.
Since then, I’ve worked as a WOCN care coordinator at Danbury and New Milford Hospital and as a WOCN legal nurse consultant. I’ve also coordinated the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) program, focusing on preventing skin injuries. My work has been recognized at conferences, including the WOCN and NPIAP conferences.
In 2023, I began pursuing further education as an Advanced Practicing Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to advance healthcare and research. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, boating, tennis, and biking with my husband. My daughter, a 25-year-old pursuing a nursing career, will move to Nashville in August.
