About me
Dr. Judy Huang is the System Director for Pharmacy Infusion Services at Northwell Health (formerly Nuvance Health), where she leads oncology pharmacy operations, outpatient infusion, and system-wide compliance with USP 797/800 standards across seven hospitals in Connecticut and New York.
She earned her PhD in Biology from Hunter College, CUNY Graduate Center, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut. Her academic journey includes postdoctoral research under Nobel Laureate Eric Kandel at Columbia University; a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Ascension’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center; and completion of ASHP’s Distinguished Pharmacy Leadership Academy—reflecting a lifelong commitment to scientific inquiry and clinical excellence.
Dr. Huang has held diverse clinical pharmacy roles in general medicine, critical care, infectious disease, and oncology. She established Nuvance Health’s first ASHP‑accredited pharmacy residency and pharmacy technician training programs, advancing workforce development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. She currently serves as a Gratis Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and previously contributed to experiential education advisory boards for both the University of Connecticut and the University of Saint Joseph.
Her commitment to humanistic and culturally responsive care earned her the 2023 ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Scholar Grant for research on intercultural competence in pharmacy practice. Building on this work and her experience in the multinational Global Up Intercultural Curriculum pilot, Dr. Huang integrates intercultural learning into her leadership and educational efforts, applying a systems‑level perspective that links cultural competence to workforce development, patient‑centered care, and organizational excellence.
Grounded in scientific research, clinical pharmacy, educational innovation, and humanistic care, Dr. Huang now leads system-wide initiatives to advance sterile compounding compliance through technology-assisted workflows. Her work integrates safety, efficiency, and continuous learning—applying evidence‑based principles to uphold USP 797/800 standards and empower pharmacy teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality care across the health system.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Huang is a proud wife and mother to three spirited daughters who keep her grounded and inspired.
